Diğdem Değirmendere started her professional career in internal audit in 2004. She has specialized in various sectors both in Turkey and internationally, including textiles, energy, construction, banking and finance, media, real estate investment, pharmaceuticals, defense, industrial production, and mining, successfully conducting financial, operational, process, and IT audits. She has led the restructuring and establishment of internal audit and control departments, corporate risk management, and corporate governance systems. She played significant roles in large-scale M&A projects, including the acquisition of Albania’s leading telecommunications operator, Turkey’s largest national media company, and the privatization of natural gas and electricity distribution companies in Turkey and Kosovo. A CRMA certificate holder, Değirmendere has worked extensively in SAP/ERP integrations, procurement management, and digital transformation projects. She has contributed to the development of corporate governance and ethical management frameworks, ensuring compliance with international standards.
